Sonnet: The Rose Poem by David Wood

Sonnet: The Rose

Rating: 5.0

You often find that the most fragrant rose
Is found growing in another's garden
And where from every petal beauty flows
From spring to when the earth starts to harden.

When life is short and filled with wasted time
And all our days are now well past their best
The garden wall seems a mountain to climb
But that rose's beauty is heaven blessed.

The rose's perfume brings such sweet delight
And its petals does brighten each season
With such beauty that is forever bright
Holding this rose seems beyond all reason.

A rose that brings new life with it's beauty
Rests in the heart for all eternity.

It's a fabulous sonnet. May be due to some technical issues, lines are disturbed. Appreciated...top score
