Sonnet: Think Of Others Too Poem by Dr John Celes

Sonnet: Think Of Others Too

If only when you wear your shoes, you know,
If it suits you or blisters hurt your feet;
Sit in the chair! Your conduct then will show,
How comfortable or not is your new seat!

’Tis easy speaking from the other side;
’Tis easy making fun of others too;
Some things you never know how to decide;
Whatev’r we be, our duty we must do.

The things we do should not much hurt others;
Let’s think before we embark on new things;
Each step we take, should not wound our brothers;
This earth is for all creatures and earthlings!

We have no right to stifle others’ growth!
We should not also others’ progress loathe.
