Sonnet: What Can’t I Sacrifice To Reach Heaven? |
|
|
| |
In life, I compromise so many things; I cannot fight forever in this world; At times, I take whatever Life just brings; My sufferings remain in heart untold!
But sin is one thing which I must avoid; The soul is meant to reach God’s own Abode; A sinful man can’t satisfy the Lord; We must therefore live by His every code.
The God of purity is truth and light; He abhors sins and abysmal darkness; A thousand suns can’t match His face so bright! He wants all men freed from devils’ harness.
The grace of God is robe and soul’s haven; What can’t I sacrifice to reach Heaven?
