soon i know
you will learn this
art of
pleasing me

soon you will taste
what sweetness is there
in this life
i live

i will wait
till you bloom fully
like the sun
at the noon day sky

i will wait
till you learn how to love
love in return
i will wait
till you understand fully
how i have loved you
that much
at the risk of my
life and limbs....

and when that comes
i may then give you up
more to someone else
much lovelier than
me.
