Sordid Crystal Glitter Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Sordid Crystal Glitter

Eyes in the shadows
move and become any
shape that comes to mind.
The eyes aye to the thoughts
of freedom; where there is none
aye to the thoughts of a more profound
thoughtfulness, where there is no thought
the eyes aye to the thoughts of the shadows
where there is no light for such, break away
for these illusions of the thoughts of shadows
thoughts not hallow, thoughts so cold and narrow.
Have some belief in the intellectual that you may
someday allow to; surface and expose this as it
applies to you. Refuse that thought which
brings the eyes of the shadow their laugh
and their ought have done'. Expand in
your self; the here, and in this there, and in
the everywhere else you may intentionally
run to. To do what it is you want to do. And
the unknown is hidden in straitjackets, with
limitations, living on separations planted by
worms that do not leave your heart, and these
are not bound by the season, or the reason, or
the existence, of your essential being. That
being made stale by performing and picking
out your lifetime's violations; made more
stale by you living in declining civilizations
among the shadows, and in the beliefs
behind your owned personal clouds of
stale, raggedy and sordid crystal glitter!
