Soul Sighter Poem by Michael Walkerjohn

Soul Sighter

Inspired by Loureen A. Donahue

She is a solitary spirit
in all time does wander still
helplessly homeless, alone
within one's mind she dwells;
her view within is a light
winding thought's sweet bells
heart favors she spills, in each
on life's paths farewells.
Piece by piece a life so winds
in a patterned lifespan
as spirit shining light
finds soul, filled in providence;
love and anguish mingled
an enlightened mind does scan
intricate eye for souls alive
in a truth filled love's abidance.
Of heaven's wind her breath buys
price being empty soul
no wiser so, in heart's thoughts
all humanity to console;
sought in an eye's reflection
she views a spirit's gloriole
those few full with life's truth
seek her sight's belay.
On reels time, life thoughts
inclined, seek for a plateau
close, yet far beyond most all
on mindful beings bestow;
eyesight and ideals reached
in works she leaves a code
of wisdom in life earned
and path of future's forebode.
Retreat, in your eye closed tight
see light lost therein
and keep in thought her presence
under twilight's serein;
fill in life a pathway walk
of soul seek wonder's plein
open all of your heart and soul
in her sight, be spiritually clean.
