Sorrows Forgotten Memories Poem by Andrew Degen

Sorrows Forgotten Memories

Rating: 3.5

As I gaze upon her
thinking of the brightness
her soul contains
as my heart desires it
as my soul deepens itself
into darkness as it once was
brought up by her thoughts
and my heart
as it holds the rope tight
no letting go
as I watch them
standing before me
images flash
as I think what could never be
of how I better from him
how we could be
if only she would comply with me
happiness could rise once again
as it once did before
in her presence
in her voice and mine
as these......
sorrows memories.......
set in once again
