Soul Poem by Ragy Sandid

Soul

It is given
Planted
Cultivated
Even driven

It moves without motion
It speaks without sound
It feels when feeling is absent
It is the best thing around

It teaches us to laugh and cry
It teaches how, when, where and why
It teaches us that there those who love and those who don't
It teaches us there those who will believe and those who won't

It reaches to another soul and communicates through eyes of wonder
It brings out words soft like petals, strong like iron, tender with thunder
It links two people through astounding measures the like of which no two can compare
It disappears inside, swims through the nerves. It is the magic of nowhere and everywhere

It gets another soul into its soul and the two souls whisper whispers of no apparent understanding
Then another soul with soil joins them and three souls form a pyramid of love beyond comprehending
So much so that one soul will defend another and let itself be damaged for the sake of the younger soul
The souls keep together for the younger soul and make sure that that the soul will be never be the one to fall

It gives strength when all other limbs declare deficiency, bankruptcy, and corruption
It shows the future in further pictures of dreams that inspire induction
It warns of dangers to come when nothing is in view
It is the best friend that shows threat only to the one who knew

It stays strong when the rest become weak
Its fuel is faith, love and a sense of spark
It came to this world to speak
A further starlight in the dark
