Sound Advice Poem by Susan LeGree

Sound Advice

Rating: 5.0

So many are the sounds
that interrupt the calm
and rob the thought process

A blaring radio and
jangling phones...
Worse, the 'melody' of a
cell's ring tone

Television trumpets
its ads full-blast
amid programs of
clangorous chatter

And all the while
just outside,
a bird warbles a
pretty tune

A soft breeze may
rustle the leaves
but who can hear

Susan, you are so right with this, the constant battering our ears get from man-made sounds drown out mother nature's beautiful tunes. Top marks and thanks for sharing this my friend. Hugs David
