South Padre Island Man Cave Poem by J.B. LeBuert

South Padre Island Man Cave

The SPI Mancave was a great place to meet.
There were lively parties and music complete.
It was a haven for those in the local area.
Parties went into the night, never causing hysteria.

The lights and the ambiance were conducive to drink.
I met many friends there and had time to think.
It sponsored a boat cruise on one lovely day.
We met at the Sea Ranch, and soon were at play.

When the cruise was finished that beautiful day,
We retreated to the Man Cave, to drink and to stay.
We partied on, long into the night as well.
You might even say that we raised a little hell.

That day when I returned, to thank Randy.
The Man Cave was gone and the place not so dandy.
Something happened late that night or early morning.
It was bad, the Man Cave was gone, without any warning.

I took that destruction as a real telling sign.
I didn't go back again, and that was just fine.
But I really enjoyed myself there, every time.
I really liked the Man Cave, it wasn't a crime.

You shouldn't take it for granted,
Other's views may often be slanted.
Let this be a life's lesson to all,
Enjoy life, while you can still have a ball.
