Spellbound - Poem by Merrill Auguste

Perfection upon your gleaming eyes
Stare into my soul, sphere of dreams
Leaving the Brotherhood’s Sword
And Shield, boundless thy tears stream

Alas! In the distant mist my haven
A faint candle light frame would reveal
A warrior’s path to perfection sought
Unmasking a shadow of a maiden so real

Breathless uncertainty stood before
Your door, a face once striking
Veiled in grief, your arms soon to restore
Greeting stood in grace, words so inviting

Spellbound entwined by your beauty
Thus the melody of your voice
Doth a song bird seek sanctuary?
Enchantment, befall me no choice

Drunken by Celtic love I stagger
Unto your bosom, sunken face
Anterior world’s tempest blood
In you, I found my place
