I dreamed from yesterday
the ghosts of innocence,
The shaping of my fate
crawled out from dark cadence;
The hunting for the truth
was once my guiding friend,
Though there were some nightmare
to death I would not end.

As I perceive this life
it seemed not meant to be,
For flesh was bathed in curse
and wasn't mistake-free;
Though try I might be right
the path was not all mine,
Footsteps of the devil
have blocked my angel's line.

Faith reigning in my heart
most of the time was bruised,
To look up at the sky
as I feel so abused;
I feel like doubting much
if heavens do have ears,
And so it touched my eyes
then welling with much tears.

But sunshine when it came
to wake me from a dream,
It urged me to retrace
the golds from past stings;
There were scattered wisdom
on this life's battlefield,
I just have to harvest
as long as I want healed.

Tomorrows when they dawn
over my horizon,
Born was a new spirit
conceived from the unknown;
Divine that I've found it
down my darkest valley,
And in my climbing up
divine still it would be.
