Spiritual Tea Poem by Jimmy L. Lyons

Spiritual Tea

Sometimes jealousy burns like fire;
let's eat the bread of desire,
and drink the spiritual tea
that propels our love ever higher.

I've been broken down in pain,
as if I'm under a cloud.
I've had heartbreak I can't contain;
and I'm tired of my head being bowed.

I want to start healing again,
and I want to regain my strength.
I want to stop these tears of pain,
and feel tears of joy falling like rain.

I'm crying for help from the Lord;
I hope God is there for me.
I want to let go and let God
send me more spiritual tea.
