Spring At Last Poem by TR Jones

Spring At Last

Last night I heard the croaking of the frogs
The barking of the neighbors dogs
Last night I felt the warm breeze
The fresh grass upon my knees
Last night I saw the green returning to the scene
Some children jumping happily on a trampoline
Last night I saw everyone in shorts
All the practices for spring sports
And I knew what all this would bring
It is once again, time for spring
