Spring's ~~~ Waters~~~ Flowing~~~

Spring's Rain!
No more snow!

As a man would know
a river does flow
downward
toward
the Sea

From the oceans
it rises,
mystified
no surprises
new form
warm
traveling upward
rises!

God purifies it
gathers it
cools it
prepares a baptismal event
re-gifts it to man,
lively torrent!

With loud
announcement
heavens stir
angels open
the gates

Earth and man
receive it.
Rebaptized
cleansed!
Weeds sprout
Skiers pout

Rivers flow
habitual
endlessly
satiating
cle ansing
a divine ritual

Ah but those despairing souls lamenting the use of recycled water from the old.
Only demanding what is pure and clean
As they take another puff from their cigarette and say
We only want what is rightfully ours
even if we take it from you without disregard (Report) Reply

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

When the hours of Day are numbered,
And the voices of the Night
Wake the better soul, that slumbered,
To a holy, calm delight;

Ere the evening lamps are lighted,
