Spring Towers Poem by Duane L. Herrmann

Spring Towers

Towers of the Spring,
rising billowy brown
climbing high in the sky...

Hundreds of feet in the air.
One here, and another there,
another further on...

Altering the landscape,
dwarfing trees and hills,
on the scale of clouds.

Tomorrow they are gone
vanished in the air;
blackened earth remains

Evidence
of regeneration
by prairie burning.
