Stagnant Poem by Radzi Bedu

Stagnant

Rating: 4.3

Under my shadow I conceal
Finding comfort
Away from anguish and knave me
I have called you in the silence of my grieving self
Yet you are not there…
I wish for the glory of the moon,
Dignity of the stars,
Mystifying the magnificent of life
Which once you bestowed upon me,
Take me out from this gruesome coldness
Reach me out from the sinking me
Hold me up from the depth of ghastly fall
Compassionate to my weak existence
Mercy to the stagnant me
Laden with gaps
Withering under the scourging
Words of truth
