Stained With Sadness Poem by David Harris

Stained With Sadness

Rating: 5.0

Our brow is stained with sadness
and we begin to wonder
did we leap before we looked
when love gave us the call.
The road ahead may be rocky,
but we say we can persevere.
Again, we begin to wonder
whether our decisions were the right ones
when we made our judgement call.
Then more doubts cloud our mind,
are we going down a road
we’ve gone down once before.
A road that leads to nowhere.
The more we question
the less we do
to turn our life around
and all we do is add more stains
to our sadness stained brow.

I love the way this has been written, though perhaps disagree that questioning need be a mistake.

Guilty...you talking about me....: O) ...very well done...I'm sure it will strike a chord with many but too painful to admit
