Stand For The Silent Poem by Dario Hogan

Stand For The Silent

Why does there have to be all this hatred,
why can't someone say 'hey kid, it's okay to be different'.
Because if you are, there's no point in fighting against It,
It might not seem 'cool' to be the weird one in school,
but it is, I used to be that kid. It might not get exciting,
and you'll never feel like the king, but that's the idea.
You'll never have to ride in a black-maria,
you're family will always be able to see you,
you won't get too far ahead, but you won't feel the dread,
that's associated with taking advantage of paper and led.
If you ever get lonely, remember me,
if I'm the only thing, that will help with you're feelings.
