Stand With You Poem by Brent Rogers

Stand With You

To the broken and the lost
Who have paid too high a cost
The lost and never found
Possess guilt and shame abound

No matter what's been done
The dark things that make you run
That horrible thing you did
Regrets from all you safely hid

I would be there by your side
There is nothing to make me hide
Stare them down and take your pain
Though ice, snow, and freezing rain

I stand alone in red and grey
I will be there, without delay
My demons are bigger than you've ever seen
I'm not afraid to make you clean

I will not judge as I have been
Not constantly remind you of your sin
I'll be the friend you've never had
Unconditional love, to replace the sad
