Stanzas Written, Assembled On The Eve Of Shivaratri Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Stanzas Written, Assembled On The Eve Of Shivaratri

Where Shiva meditating,
Matted-haired,
Ash-lined,
Into the rudrasha rosary?

With a trishula
And a kamadala
Into the tiger loin cloth
Going?

Yogi, Yogi not, Mahayogi,
Sadhu,
Fakira,
Shiva, Shiva, Lord Shiva?

Shiva-Sambhu,
Bholenath,
Shiva-Shakara,
Har-Har Mahadev.

Leaving your all,
Come into the shelter of Shiva-Shankara,
Shiva, Sadashiva.

Mahashivaratri,
The Great Night of Shiva,
Shiva, Shiva.

Shiva's marriage party going
Consisting of bizarre elements,
Ghosts, goblins, winds, spirits,
Beasts and brutes.

Mahashivaratri,
The Greater Night of Shiva
Mythical and Mystical
And Supernatural.

Shiva,
Shiva, in search of Shiva,
I Shiva, You Shiva,
I You, You I.

The night is dark
And here lie I in the hope of
Seeing Shiva on Shivaratri,
The grotesque party passing.

Shiva, Siva with a trisula,
A kamadala
Into tiger loin cloth going,
Shiva as a sadhu, yogi, fakira,
Shiva as a sadhaka meditating.

Shiva matted haired
And three ash-lined
And into the yellow spotted loin cloth
Going with kamandala and trisula.

Shiva Shiva,
Yogi,
Sadhaka,
Fakira.

On the eve of Shivaratri
Let us be with, with Shiva,
Shiva,
Let Shiva be your Guide.

In search of Siva
Went I
To return as Siva, Siva.
