Star Warrior Poem by David Wood

Star Warrior

Rating: 5.0

Getting out from the street
Lights

The heavens tonight were
Gin clear in the crisp cold
Evening.

Stopping, I looked up
And high above me

Orion posed with his raised
Sword and shield in the
Clear night sky.

He, as alway, is trying to catch
Taurus the bull whose horns
Are his match

As they chase themselves
Across

The universe with the seven
Sisters of Pleiades

Edging them on from behind.

Always locked in a battle that
Never ends.

The night sky tells such
Fascinating stories on a

Gin clear night.
