Starburst Heart Poem by D.A. Woods

Starburst Heart

I went for a walk last night
after sundown and then made my way home.
The stars were all aligned and shone so bright,
reminded myself that I'll be all alone.

The second half of my life is still alluding me, where can she be?
I've learned my lessons well, I'm going through changes beyond these changes,
and yet nobody can see me.

To play the part of a nameless face in somebody else's show,
won't reflect the love I have still within.
So give me a smile, give me your heart, give me your hand and mine for you I'll bestow.
Within this moonlit night, the stars are still shining bright,
and that's where we could begin.
