Starlight Poem by Kaleb Gonzalez

Starlight

Above my world,
in the blackness of space,
her face,
shines brighter than any other girl,
as she is the moon that orbits around my heart,
round and round she goes,
gravity makes sure we never part,
when she's happy, on me it shows,
the sun hides in embarrassment,
for she illuminates everything in her way,
the other girls are light years away,
because the light they produce is irrelevant,
if she should ever cease to exist,
my universe would crumble, and nothing would be right,
without her i would be lost in the dark mist,
i need her starlight
