State Of Mind

Talking about a state of mind
Talking about this funky state of mind
Children search to see what you can find
Cause I’m talking about this funky state of mind
Taking about this day in time
So many people out of their minds
Waiting on God to hold back man’s decline
Armageddon not to far behind
Talking about a state of mind
Man’s perversion has crossed the line
Tech advancements fueling man’s decline
Little babies shaking their behinds
Talking about this day and time
The poor and homeless running out of time
Millions of people on the unemployment lines
Revolution not to far behind
Hey brother can you spare a dime
I’m ten cent short on a pint of wine
Seize a man’s esteem and you will find
Criminal justice not to far behind
Leaders of the world make up your minds
You best believe we’re running out of time
Going in space to see what you can find
Insurrections are not to far behind
Talking about a state of mind
Talking about this funky state of mind
Push a man to long and you will find
Global war is not to far behind
You best believe we’re running out of time
Revolution is not to far behind
Politicians please make up your mind
Cause I’m talking about this funky state of mind

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
