Statue Of Sorrows Poem by Minx Videsben

Statue Of Sorrows

Sadness consumes me
Darkness fills my head
Roses sprout from my feet
Thorns scratch my skin as the vines rise up an wrap around me
Rose petals scatter over my clothes and fill up my lungs
Empty inside I feel nothing but cold
My heart of stone takes me over
Freezing me in time as I stand
No one notices I'm missing
All they see now is a statue
Full of sorrow
