Stay With Me Poem by Elisa Nguyen

Stay With Me

Child-like naivety and lies are all that protect me from this torn world I call reality.
Each day, repetition are all I notice of life.
People come and people go, but no one stays.

No firm promises,
No eternity.
All I can do is go through life and hope,
Hope for someone that can guarantee me eternity.

Eternity without the lies and falsehood.
Eternity without doubt.
When will someone come into this dull circle and pull me from it’s cycle?

All I want is a promise with someone for eternity.
