Staying Rooted Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Staying Rooted

No one.
Should accept to believe,
What they know is not fact.
No one.
No one.
And no one,
Deceived like that...
Should walk away with a turned back.
But if the truth,
Is not normally around to be found.
How can a truth pursued to know it,
Be proven.
When many dismiss,
What for them is not missed.

And if one lives a life,
Based upon lies to them told.
That's all they know.
From the time they were born.
Until with time they grow old.

It's...
Who teaches who what it is,
They want believed.
To have them feeling better.
Of a life they've created.
Full of delusion and fantasy.

It's...
Not being able to face,
A reality.
Many can't accept being honest.
Too painful is truth.
It brings them grief.

It's...
Who teaches what to who,
With it wanted believed.
And...
The ones who live truth with it done,
Know who it is...
To stay away from.
And to do done...
Rooted.
And to do done...
Staying rooted.
And to do done...
Rooted.
And to do done...
Staying rooted!
