Step Aside And Let It Be Poem by Jim Boone

Step Aside And Let It Be

I can come across as poor
But my birthright states that
I Am rich (No, I will not rhyme
this with the B-word, so there) .

An Islander by choice I Am
Caretaker by chance with a notion
That this is not ‘All there is’ for
This survivor’s journey.

Ms. Maye is back in my life
So I won’t be sittin’ anything out
Shy is my Godchild and Kat
My sister with kitchen upbringing.

Shannon keeps a smile on my face
While Giovanni ‘Gio’s’ my daytime
With care and pixie humility.

The prayer of my heart is to be
With my darling Marilyn and other
Friends for a NY, NY’s Eve at
The Metropolitan Club in Chelsea
To glow, on 2012’s arrival; a feast of
Sound and radiant glee, for each.
I am strong and You’re right here;
The greatest singer ever and a
Poet Laureate nominee well aged.

“We’ll share a cup of kindness yet
for auld langsyne”! !
2011
