Stephen Poem by Dean Bottomley

Stephen

The world has lost a spirit
The universe has gained a star!
Wonder and inspiration mingle
With tears of grief and loss.

He lived his life to the full
And more, an inspiration he.
He grabbed the world, shook it by the throat.
He showed us how to live.

He felt the reaper near
So took his hand, said “Walk with me.
Let me show you how to live a life
Before we travel on”.

He filled each waking moment
Poured all he had into everything.
Not for himself, but for those unknown:
He gave where others took.

He had his bucket listing
And he completed it in time.
He filled his shortened life with giving:
Made death a celebration.

A life cut short is tragic:
But he lived an eon in his.
Poured out such love for life, and for others.
Stephen you changed the world!
