Steven Avery Poem by Rahul Phillip

Perpetuate the game of playing with my life
Yet no power would exhaust me
I'm filled with dignity and self respect
The truth will one day set me free

Oh world so cruel
I challenge thee
The Sun will one day rise so high
That evil would have no place to flee

You took my youth, my smile and gleam
Locked me up with a Rav4 key
Scattered the beads of my family string
What fun in the end did you get to see?

Two broken families who cry every night
Have lost a thousand dreams
False satisfaction for the Halbachs family
And the culprits are out there loose and free

Yes I'm broken and very much tired
But you won't see the hurt side of me
Cos' I'm filled with dignity and self esteem
The truth will one day set me free

Sad story of injustice told in eloquent finesse. Deep hurtful feelings conveyed with clarity of thought and mind, in persuasive poetic expressions with conviction. A beautiful creation Rahul. Thanks for sharing and do remain enriched.
