Still There Are Noble People In The Villages! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

It is said in Tamil literature about nobility. Is it true now also?
The so called noble persons face the inquiry commission!

But escape after a long trial; may get a minimum punishment,
They never feel abashed or ashamed!

Only greedy people in the town, one tries to swallow the other!
I hope there are noble people in the villages!

I happened to see a woman from a village,
Her husband was in Air force and died five years ago!

She is alone in her small house in her village,
Works hard everyday in her small field!

Whatever small produce she gets,
She gives the produce free, happily to relatives!

An elderly noble woman in a tiny village,
There is little rain in the country in her age!

There is an elderly noble man of ninety years in my village,
He helps children for education; paddy for the needy!
