Still Twilight Poem by Bryn Williams

Still Twilight

As though in darkness given life
These shadows of the mind and heart
Rise with discord, hate and strife
And break the very sky apart.

Rage empowered strength ascends
And battles wind, and storm and night
With fevered mind to bitter end
And madly fights unmoving might.

Beyond the twilight's hopeless scene
The river rushes ever on.
And brings its flotsam to the sea.
Its mouth concealed, awaiting dawn.
