Still Writing A New Poem To Her Poem by Yohanes Jemaneh

Still Writing A New Poem To Her

It's been long
Since I started penning
Poems for my soul mate,
In spite of her adamancy
To read and hear
My words to date
Yet, I'm still trying
To express my feeling
That she is prodding
In each of her shenanigan
And teasing

I know the feeling
Is hard to bear
That makes me mad
The love, the words
That she utters at the ends
In each of her speeches
Thinking about her prudence
The love feelings
In my heart and brain
Out will drain
No word I can note
On the blank sheet
So as to draw
A green smooth street
As a token of her footprint
Feeling exhaustive
Running out of words,
While open
To reveal my wounds!

Scratched by rejection
Exhibiting dejection
Cured by enduring attraction
I'm still trying to confess,
The mark of her abstract love
On my face
The puzzle of her lips trick
Not her rosy lipstick
Ignoring the tattoo
While gazing at her mysterious blink
Sensing her hands dancing
To and fro on my chest
Listening to the motion of my heart
Via the Stethoscope of her finger
That melts me sooner
Uttering the emotion loud
In an imaginative mood
By all these
My eyes start blurring
With a passion hot
When I take a pen to jot
A romantic note
But I'm still marking the blank sheet
To write
A new poem for her
Sweet and rhythmic like her!
