Stolen Kisses Poem by Stephenie VanCampJones

Stolen Kisses

Contented by the zen-like afterglow, intoxicated
by nothing but hydrangeas and your
felt pedaled kisses. Caught up in our own
ethereal delight, my heart beat soars

past clouds that surround us. I reach
to grab star dust as an anchor
from descent into temptation
of Hades below.

Your fingers link with mine- as we ponder
a chase after the sun set
along our own honey suckled horizon.
Let's taste dew drops

of sweet nectar before us
from our own hideaway here
amongst the branches as they sway
ever so slightly;

Early evening breezes
envelope us
into their protective embrace
for a few stolen breaths more.
