Straight To Paradise

Mine’s not a statement of the proud
Nor journal of a clown
But God has raised me from the crowd
In promise of a crown

The pledge of Heaven’s truly mine
By grace I’ll surely live
I ate The Bread and drank The Wine
Christ Jesus died to give

I know The Truth I’ve seen The Light
Salvation’s called my name
The Lord’s prepared life’s robe of white
And taken all my shame

My aim’s now straight to Paradise
Never again to stray
Because of Jesus’ sacrifice
Because of Heaven’s Way

So full of joy, now richly blessed
I fear no more The Wrath
Heading towards eternal rest
Along God’s chosen path

Leaving behind damnation’s ruin
Hell’s shadows dressed in white
I’m dancing to my Saviour’s tune
In armour shining bright

I’m singing loud singing clear
I’m singing all day long
With laughter, joy boundless cheer
Singing Salvation’s song

I’m walking light I’m running sure
Positive night and day
Remaining firm I will endure
Beyond the coming fray
