Strange Actor Of Azadi (For Salamn Rushdie) Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Strange Actor Of Azadi (For Salamn Rushdie)

Unmindful of all that
Happening, ruffling, taking it place
He goes in the gait and stride of own,
Clutching it along
Undaunted, unafraid of and indefatigable in his mission and zeal,
A tireless speaker and an unrelenting talk-giver,
A votary of the freedom of speech and expression
Standing it alone.

How his drama of Azadi,
The script of
And how the house
Where he enacted it
And who the players of it?
For whom is it
And what does it mean it
Freedom, liberation, independence?

Human thought and idea, how to charter the course of it,
The progress and development of man,
The faculties opening the doors of the mind,
Taking wings, flight of imagination
With creative colours?
Do we want reasoning and logic to be dead in us
With the stream dying and drying up,
The clear stream of reasoning?
