Stream Like Life Poem by Jayatissa K. Liyanage

Stream being a total entity
comprised of multiple constituents;
Flowing waters, being the prime stuff
jutting out of springs, as nature gifts
getting surged by overflows and runoffs





Guided by two banks, firm, yet wavy and curvy
stabilized by rocks boulders roots and what not
in the association of clay, silt and sand
Controlled by pebbles, boulders and rocks
held in its course as slips, drops and falls

Beautified by frills, waves, swirls
kinks, bends, throws and cascades
Moves in flows, runs, swifts and floods
via planes, mounts, 'n cliffs, simple and complex
with melodious hisses, echoes and roars

It lingers, cruises, gallops and sprints on
in its own phase, it is inherited with
Bearing, Caring and ushering the life in and around
up until it reaches the endless ocean
as the destination at the terminus.

So is the life, filled with miscellanies
with little or no perfect, so to speak
straight lines, angles and curves
governed by dogmatic geometric rules
