In skimpy sleeveless tops, strumpets
In rows teeming with lust blow trumpets
Snatching bucks from souses
Who snap them into sleazy houses
To partake of carnal commerce
Which by guile they rehearse
Metamorphosing one souse into a cadaver
Drowning in his pesky palaver
Where knowing not if he lived or died
The souse blinded by puny pride hung tied
To stairs of flesh flex
Unaware of harlots' hex
That robs the souse of his thinking cap
In view of the judgment void and gap
In a hot head gone asinine
With the bitterness of cunning quinine
The souse saliva swallows
The souse his life breath blows
Knocking out his brain
As his mind soaks in ribald rain
Flying like a rocket to his gauche grave
Having opted to grow into the knave
Strumpets exploit
In shadows of premises of Deloitte.

This poem viscerally conveys a Hogarthian or Otto Dix-like vision of society's underbelly. Self-indulgence as enslavement; fueled by alcohol...as aspiration dies on the ladder of hollow sensation! BLINDED BY PUNY PRIDE HUNG TIED/ TO STAIRS OF FLESH FLEX./ What a waste! A 10 for hard-hitting lines.
