Streets Weep Poem by daniel wentz

Streets Weep

standing on the sideline
as everyone drive by
asking god why
even try
remembering back when streets died
and everyone cried
but they ain't know on the other side tho
i lied in the mist hoping to end these conflicts
funny how the world illudes these mind tricks
in the hands of crucifix
beat down by too many kicks
pitching words with a few licks
streets ran an said they had a fix
drug money straight counter fits
blew up from the talks of it
screwed up
cops called
got lost in it
guns drawn
cost a life
homie st resting easily
six feet beneath me
only i see
the nightmares
his dream shares
no one cares
as long as they get theirs
struggle on welfare
road leading no where
lack understanding
due to life demanding
quick numbers expanding
this is the story of streets crash landing
