Strings Attached Poem by Meg Harrison

Strings Attached

My violin sit in the corner of my room.
the music stand lays on the floor.
I have plenty of sheet music.
that I would like to play.

I have many good songs
that would sound beautiful on the strings.
the violin is such a rich instrument.
when I find the time to play.

By the time that I take it out of the case.
The violin will be out of tune.
maybe one of the strings will break.
I have many ideas on my mind
and I want to play the fine instrument
one hand holds the bow.
while the other hand has my thumb underneath
the violin as my other fingers are on the strings.
hopefully my violin will be steady.
