Stronger Than Yesterday Poem by Stephanie Sampson

I woke up today, with the sun shining on my face
and I thougth of you, and the things I cant erase
I once was told, the sun still shines the next day, I
guess it's nice to know that soon things will be
better than okay
It hurts to know that I cant take back the past
But I'm still stronger than I was yesterday
I love you today, like I loved you before
when you were once mine, and I was yours
As my lonely thoughts, fade away
I looked in the mirror and saw that I'm stronger than
I was yesterday
Only time can heal a broken heart, and
I pulled myself up and out of the dark
I just want you to know that, if ever you fall
I'll be there to pick you back up,
and I'll be there by your side, through it all
because I am stronger than I was yesterday
