Struggle Poem by Nina gáspari

Struggle

Won´t you come over
And stay for the night
I´m not asking for a lifetime
Won´t u please
Tell me what you expect from me
I´m not asking for explanation, just a little conversation
Won´t you take a walk
And share your fine thoughts for a while
I´m not asking for the long run, maybe just a mile
Won´t you lay down
And dream for the hour
I´m not asking to taste your life, so sour
I´m not planning to be, something that´s beyond me
I´m not willing to give it up, what i´ve worked hard for
And it´s more than my enough
So even if you don´t come
Reluctant, about what you truly yearn
Expecting what may seem the obvious from me
Taking a walk trough misery
Lying down and finding it hard to dream
I know, by heart, you´re still struggling to be free.
