Stuggle Poem by Rachel BaByBeAr Anderson

Stuggle

His texts are short, two words long.
She worries, thinking somethings wrong.
Her expression is blank as she whispers to a mate.
I see her nod in reply, eyes clouding over like before.

The thunder rolls nearby, she shivers.
The wind whipping through her hair,
face turning red from the cold.
A group forms in the library. Hissing like snakes.
Their whispers are blotted.

Im disgusted, wanting to hurt them all.
She doesnt know a thing. All that happening behind her
back.
How can they do that?
How can they keep it from her so easily?

Tonight is the night it will kick off.
Red cards will be given, no half time.
The demon sits at home, perfectly safe.
Too scared to talk to her, too afraid of dying.
Willing enough to sacrifice us all for itself.

Im told not to say a word. My head shuts off.
all lights go out. The shaking begins.
She begins to question.
Texting him still.
He doesnt reply.
As the hours pass she turns.
Her bite, venemous.

The demon threats next day. Others side with it.
I hear nothing. Too busy holding back the monster.
Anger bubbling away beneath.
Threatning to break through the skin and melt away
everything that is me.

The storm cracks in. Louder overhead.
He's intent on ignoring her messages.
The venom spreads.
I cannot hold back for much longer, the monster
fights too well.

The lightning strikes. The shaking sets in again.
She wants to know. Desperate for information.
Why did they keep it from her?
Has she no right to know?
Her words like a boa constricter. Strangling me slowly.
The monster is released.

Savage and wild it strikes, I bruise.
She stabs back.
The demon doesnt care, as long as it's away.
The others confusing my words, making it harder.
My mind is full of hatred.
Tommorrow it's thier turn to hurt.
At my hands or hers.

The strangling continues.
The monster begins to kill me.
Working together they destroy my concience.
Im dead.

She is worse. Her heart faltures as she texts him.
Shouting and hitting everything. Nothing can stop her.
The demon screams, it realises its punishment.
I hope it recieves it.
For the monster's savage wars rage on.
