Stunned - Poem by Nicholas Nikolov

A day most unsuspecting -
the heart's desire and sweet dream - transfigured reality;
blessed be this day of glory.
Unforgettable elegant singing
of angels flutter surrounds - nurtured divinity;
moreover, the heavenly
smile and picturesque face that my soul has been longing
for with grand anticipation - manufactured crystallinity.
Paralysis dismantling,
as unbridled excitement resurfaces - reassured fantasticality.

Poet's Notes about The Poem

messaging my ex-girlfriend after a longtime we did not speak. We started to again a few times before I wrote this poem.
