Stupid For Love Poem by Hannah Elizabeth Martin

Stupid For Love

My mind is in a clutter;
Full of nothing but you.
Why don't you leave me at peace?
But that's the last thing i want you to do.

You ignite something within me.
untouchable, but so close.
I'm afraid of the consequences...
But I shall lightly approach.

Please consider my feelings;
Such fickle precious thoughts.
I may be young for love and life, darling,
But I pray you think of me the same.
And maybe-
Just maybe,
It will not just be me completely insane for love.

Within the depths of my conscience,
I know you're right for me.
You may not realize it now,
But sooner on you'll see.

I don't believe in coincidence,
So when you were purposely placed in my life,
I didn't want to let you go.
And maybe in the future I could be your wife.

Oh my love, whom I stare at from a distance,
Just you wait for me to grow up.
Please, just for this once sit and listen,
But I know your thoughts and perhaps you're right.
And maybe-
Just maybe,
I''m just some teenage girl stupid for love.
