Success Sans Soul Poem by shokat ali habib

Success Sans Soul

Words hurt like hell and heavy
Songs of the soul sail on sweet and lonely/

A severe pain surges for pure air
Outside, yes outside life is not fair/

Without the glut greed and gloom
Desperate lives all in devastated doom/

Within the deserts crawled without fuss
Nature has left ice cold rivers of bile in us/

Tears have bled and slithered in silent vain
Bonds blown and burst for monetary gain/

Pale are the bloody babies forgot in gutters
Time and tide turns skin into lethal leather/

Foul the man, foul the fetus all fair is foul
Atmosphere ever a large growl of grief/

Action without truth denies our destined death
Here and there, everywhere is a grief and gloom/

Here and now it is to silent stay and suffer
Will it away, wish it closed eyes, it will not away/

Earth streams dry in red hot heat of hate
Lost hope is all we got, in this nothingness/

Homo sapiens are hounds of highest hell hate
In shrouds of dignity great looters lie in liars/

Beseech, how to breath, suffocating in each sigh
Everywhere in poisonous pain and purity aches /

Homo sapiens is successful but without his soul

Is the speck of dust mightier than supreme self
