Sudden Intervention Poem by 'Gboyega Towobola

Sudden Intervention

Darkness so dark,
Will pave for light to shine,
Then gory will end in glory,
When the hand of God enters.

Storm so fierce,
Will quench for wind of serenity,
Then rage will surrender to peace when,
When the hand of God enters.

Tears so profuse, Will cease for smiles that broaden,
Then sorrow will end in shouts of joy,
When the hand of God enters.

Lack so prominent,
Will sink in the sea of abundance,
Then poverty will disappear in flirting wealth,
When the hand of God enters.

Ignorance so misleading,
Will be healed with knowledge,
Then confusion will be ordered by revelation,
When the hand of God enters.

Sickness so ravaging,
Will wither for health to blossom,
Then weakness will bow to strength,
When the Hand of God enters.

Sin so fatal,
Will be disgraced by confession,
Then death will be swallowed by His Blood,
When the hand of God enters.

Bondage so labourious,
Will be trampled by authority,
Then the taskmaster will be dethroned by kings,
When the hand of God enters.

…keep on the good works
