Suicidal Funk Poem by The Poet Darkling

Suicidal Funk

I fight suicide daily
Try to keep the funk at bay
Try to find some good in life
Try to push bad thoughts away
But they slip in through the cracks
Seem to always find a way
They settle and get comfy
Do their very best to stay
My heart is filled with anguish
And I've nothing left to say
Search for the words to tell God
I've forgotten how to pray
My nights are cold and lonely
And my skies are always gray
I search in vain for sunshine
I can't find a single ray
There's no hope for the hopeless
Always darkness, never day
My will to live is slipping
As my mind begins to fray
The sadness tears my soul up
Leaving life in disarray
So in suicidal funk
For eternity I'll lay
