Sum Of Souls Poem by Abdul AlSerri

Sum Of Souls

Innoculated dreams and desires sprawled on the bedroom floor.
Passive retreat into unconscious thought.
Eyes fogged, the glare outside enough to singe and evaporate the confidence I had.
The feeling purged by the reconciliation with my isolation.
The sordid whispers course through my veins, Wrenching my gut.
Stifled by solidarity, plauged by guilt in utero.
The envy of one another causing our bodies to writhe until our collective bones begin to crack in rythm with the cement beneath us.
Becoming one as the filth of the street.
